Red copper leafed Alternanthera (South-America)
Code: Harrogate Aquatics PP32
Real name: Alternanthera reineckii
Extremely attractive stem plant with paired, lanceolate leaves of strikingly red colouration. Sprout length: 25 - 50 cm. Growth rate: 10 - 15 cm per month. Propagation by cuttings of approx. 25 cm. The more light the more intensive the colours.
Special note: Plant in groups ascending towards the back of the aquarium.

Broad-leafed anubias (Tropical West Africa)
Code: Harrogate Aquatic PP34
Real name: Anubias barteri var barteri
Stemmed, firm, leathery leaves of more or less distinct heart-shape. Grows 5-6 leaves per year approx 15-35 cm high. Propagation by side shoots from the rhizome.
Special note: The name spec. barteri is a collective denomination for a number of very similar, but difficult to distinguish, varieties of different sizes.
