Juwel Jumbo Nitrate Sponge

The Nitrate Sponge provides a large surface area for beneficial bacteria cultures to colonise and absorbs/breaks down nitrate.  It should be positioned below the Carbon Sponge and should be cleaned or replaced approximately every 6 weeks.  (After 6 weeks it will still provide a site for bacteria to colonise, but will no longer be removing nitrate from the water).
